It has long been the industry standard to splice repair timber windows using wood adhesives and similar modern timbers. It is apparent however, regardless of skill of splice repair , two different kinds of timber will invariably pull and move in different directions. This causes any paint applications to fracture and subsequently allowing water ingression to timber. A splice repair using the Window Care System allows for the new timber to be encapsulated with a two part mix of dry flex compound, this effectively absorbs any movement in the splice and ensures a permanent water tight seal.
